Re: Record Midi CC from Elektron Analog Four

First option is to "learn" the midi cc you want to record to a track param. Another option could be adding the midi cc column to a pxp pattern. Then Buzz should handle the midi recording stuff. Don't know if this really works, but it was confirmed to be working with pitchbend data.

Re: MIDI: suddenly no sync, no cc, no notes

Hi, does it help to scan the shell vsts again, the loaders midivst.dll is one them? If you changed your midi setup you have to rescan the midivst.dll(see loader preferences).

Re: Renaming Polac ASIO In/Out

The machine name depends on the current selected waveout driver. The machine should work with other waveout too beside the asio one(mme/wdm etc.). However I could disable the auto-renaming if a song is loaded for example or just disable it completely .

Re: Polac Asio

It's problematic if you uninstall your currently in Buzz active asio driver. On next start one cannot select a new driver then. I really have to fix this one. As said the workaround is removing the audio driver entry in the jeskola buzz registry.

Re: Polac VST crashes in certain circumstances.

Does it even make sense to use 64 bit plugins in 32 bit buzz? That's what I'm using, and I'm running windows 7 x64. Maybe you can answer that question too. I wouldn't load the x64 version to a x86 Buzz unless you are really huge amounts of samples in Geist. As a rule always use x86 version in x86 B...

Re: How to receive midi out from polac vst?

E: Actually, how do you mean? I've tried using midi send to send the output to another instance of pvst, then playing the pattern with the record setting in buzz on. That's about as far as I've gotten so far though. :D Yes, that's what i meant, it should work if geist really has a midi output featu...

Re: How to receive midi out from polac vst?

If you rightclick the loader instance in the machine view there is a "midi send" in the menu. This way you can route the midi output of geist to other machines(and record it to pattern for example).

Re: Recording midi drums with sgrid not working

Hi, I just tried it, you have to switch to the built-in pattern editor to be able to record as it seems(tested with samplegrid 1.21 here).

Re: new pvst beta (updated 12-Jan-2014)

I think this new pattern editor is breaking the ability to record pitch bend commands from the midi keyboard. It's either that or the polac VST loader (was build 27 and I updated to build 29). I updated both at the same time. Normally to do this, I go to columns and check the box next to my synth. ...

Re: How do I use new polac wavetable?

Didn't test with matilde 3 as it doesn't make sense in pvst because you cannot use the multi-out machine in pvst. The classic matilde is working however here. The commands are working here if you switch to pattern mode, though if you try to automate them from outside from the buzz pattern it doesn't...

but when trying to Auto-Learn certain paramters (and I think Randomize all via Preset Factory)
Confirmed here if the are also some parameters learned it will freeze on randomizing while recording. This is also fixed with the async automation option.

Re: How do I use new polac wavetable?

If you load for example matilde or other samplers it isn't greyed out. The pattern view can be activated by ctrl+tab or via the settings menu. Not very useful yet as you can't save pattern data.

Re: Automating parameters not in machine view.

I'm a bit confused. Am I supposed to replace the PeerCtrl.dll from the v1.5 with the 'x86 dll only, static MFC' one? Yes just replace the peerctrl.dll. Should I expect to see anything in cmd.exe after I enter the command? There shouldn't be any output after entering the command. I got this almost f...

Peerctrl: First download v1.5 from here: http://www.buzzmachines.com/machineinfo.php?id=805 Then copy this one here over: http://forums.jeskola.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1252#p7994 Lastly you have to register the envelope.ocx from your Buzz folder via cmd.exe(run as admin): Regsvr32 /s "c:\yo...

Re: Patterns over 68 ("`"symbol) in the sequence editor (149

Hi Xenobioz, thanks for the good tip, but it does not work for me. I have to create the apostrophe with the shift key (german keyboard layout), may be thats why it does not work? Did I get it right: 1. Select the place in the sequence editor, where i want to insert the pattern 2. Select the pattern...

Re: new pvst beta (updated 12-Jan-2014)

GUI is causing problem, you're right. It's possible to record params without freezing by PeerCtrl for example.
I have it working now, somehow Drumatic 4 interferes with Buzz causing a deadlock(or sort of). If I'm using a async worker thread for sending the automation to Buzz it seems to work.

Re: new pvst beta (updated 12-Jan-2014)

So that would increase the resolution from 1000 to around 32000 right? Sounds really nice, but would it mess up any automation on songs written with older polac versions? No it doesn't break anything, the track value resolution is and stays at 32767, it's only the resolution in the parameter list d...

You could try to use PeerCtrl or load the Jeskola Noise Generator in PVST, here you can control all buzz parameters, also the pattern-only parameters.

Re: new pvst beta (updated 12-Jan-2014)

In some plugins it's hard to set up values in "Parameter List", because of too small resolution (0-1000). Is it possible to change it to something like in "Track Parameter Value"? I don't like "Track Parameter Value" often, because it shows values in percentages only. ...
