Re: BattleComp Vintage compressor VST updated
Are you sure those CPU spikes come from the compressor and not some other app running in Windows somewhere? It's quite common for Windows to suddenly suck up a lot of CPU in small bursts, because so many weird services are enabled in a normal Windows installation by default. Do you see these spikes ...

I've been using an older build until today but I decided to give the new one a shot... Sadly, I was disappointed. and I'm back to using an older build. Here is why: ... snip ... 6. (minor complaint) "Bursts" doesn't sound the same as before. I learned to love the bursts of the past, now t...

Hmm I think I should add this to the jedshiva meter. Would be nice.mes wrote:are there any meters for buzz that show RMS values?

Re: Graphic EQ
i think wet/dry is not a good idea for EQ, since it has non-linear phase This is correct. Let's say you boost a frequency band by 10 dB, and you think it's too much and only want half as much, you should simply just boost 5 dB instead. If you mix the boosted signal with the dry, you'll get a weird ...

Kick me, I'm lazy. I now have two machines in dire need of this function, and there it is. And I still haven't implemented it. Urgh. But soon... SOON...

Re: Quad core
I have the i7 2600 which is running 3.4 GHz, and 3.8 in "turbo" mode. When it's idle I think it throttles down to something like 1.6 or 1.8 GHz, so that it doesn't heat up your appartment unnecesarily. It's very fast. I'm running at 96 kHz samplerate happily which puts an extra strain on t...

Re: F6 not playing from current position
A very typical scenario for me is that I'm somewhere in the middle of the song, and I want to edit a pattern there. I press enter and Buzz sends me to that pattern. I edit and press F6 to play, and old Buzz would remember where in the song I was and play from there. New Buzz has this new sequence ed...

If i delete the last track of a pattern, the other patterns in the same machine are NOT affected. Personally I think we should leave it this way. I like it.

Re: Cyanphase JedShiva v.1.02 crash with Buzz Build 1440
I get this too with 1443 (x86) on Windows 7, 64-bit + JedShiva v1.3. With Buzz 1434 there were no errors. Here's a full stack trace, but becuase i don't have the corresponding .pdb file for buzz.exe, the stack trace does not say which line of code is wrong. It should hopefully still give some clue t...

Re: new pvst beta (updated 28-Jan-2012)
Doggone it. There it is! I should have checked the "old-school/FT2" section of that manual. Apparently " .. 1080 " in pvst is the same as " 30 80 " in matilde tracker. Yes, you have to leave the Track Command column empty it seems. I hadn't figured out there were comman...

Re: new pvst beta (updated 28-Jan-2012)
Now we're at the noob'ish questions, is there a random command like " 30 " in matilde tracker? That's the one that randomizes whether to play the note or not. I use that quite a lot. - Loosely quoted from the help file: 30 XX - Probability for sample being played (or note-off being trigger...

Re: Can we draw automations?
Ohh, right. Gotta wipe the french paté off my glasses here...
I must say that the long automations in the song overview is what I need the most. Especially when doing long ambient stuff where things filter up and down all the time over very long time spans, typically covering many patterns.

Possible way to design this
Something like this would be awesome for those long automations. Editing tick per tick isn't always desirable. The orange and blue lines automate two different parameters on the "drums" machine. The green line automates a paremeter on a VST plug-in using polac VST. There would also have to...
