Re: Could someone please tell KiNK the good news...

He's still a good producer but his glitch stuff with Buzz was amazing. I think he stopped doing glitch when he stopped using Buzz.

Re: Can we draw automations?

You can experiment with dos fonts and find a good one for ctrl+g. Here is a link to some classic ones: https://int10h.org/oldschool-pc-fonts/fontlist/

Also you have to "zoom" out by selecting a smaller font size then may even be shown in the list.

Re: Can we draw automations?

Not to detract from any work being done on this, but if you mess with your patternXP fonts you can get more info on the Ctrl+G screen. It doesn't have curves or anything but it looks okay.

Re: Audacity 2.2.0 plays MIDI

I like how the channels are represented by different colors. But eww. Every time I look at a piano-roll it triggers my OCD. Where are those notes exactly in time?

Re: Polac VST FX midi in issue?

I created a test that successfully shows the problem. Quick setup too: Just get this and setup one or more virtual midi devices. http://www.tobias-erichsen.de/software/loopmidi.html Oh then this: http://www.midiox.com/moxdown.htm or some other virtual keyboard outside of buzz, this one works well wi...

Polac ASIO midi select?

Hey Frank, if you're out there, How do I force the ASIO driver to use my second midi device? It keeps wanting to use my midi soundcard (rather then a usb midi device) with Polac ASIO input selected. I searched through the registry, but could not find anything. Thanks! Keep rocking you crazy diamond.

I generally go with faster core speed then # of cores, but I guess it matters how you use Buzz.

Buzz seems to only use real cores.

Re: Polac VST FX midi in issue?

If I understand you correctly, the answer is yes. I can send to a midi-in machine. A special midi VST like Jthalmus or the Polac adapter midi out menu works from a vsti to an effect. Going both ways works fine internally it seems. I'll try to download midi-yoke and see if I can create a test environ...

Polac VST FX midi in issue?

Hey all, I know I've gotten the midi-in to work with the polac FX adapter before, but I can't seem to get it to work now. Can somebody try the following on their system? Steps to reproduce: - Open any VST generator and push a key on your midi keyboard. Is midi working? Good. - Open any VST effect. -...

Re: Pattern XP mod

EDIT: I had this whole post about how range selection isn't "sticky" when you use keyboard navigation or change values but I just realized Ctrl+B or E save's your range! I don't know why I stopped using it. Maybe there's a reason why the mouse or keyboard ranges arn't sticky but as long as...

Re: freezer - wde i think?

Any reason the wavetable slot can't be a parameter that can get automated? Does it need to be .NET or something? I don't care about using it live, but it could be used to gather slices it it had the param. Maybe I'll actually dig into the source cuz it seems way easy..

Re: A working wavetable recorder?

Yeah I might have to employ the PVST one. I have used it in the past and it works great. The pattern ones give a trigger that you can use to set up an automatic recording. This is useful for many reasons, for example recording all pieces of a song to a different wavetable slot; something you can't d...

A working wavetable recorder?

Hey all, Is there a wavetable recorder that works with the current build of Buzz? CNG, Cyanphase, whitenoise, etc just crash. To reproduce, plug them in and keep recording over the same slot, maybe turn the tempo up all the way and go in the wavetable view, eventually a hard or soft crash happens. W...

Re: Could we have this feature in buzz for the HD recorder?

from the begining of time till now with buzz, i've got to render the bass track, then the drum track seperately without compression, then import those into a seperate multitrack editor and apply channel compression, then render the wavs in order to have them seperate but still have the compression/...

Re: Best option for freezing tracks to .wav?

Be careful with the built in hard-disk recorder. It's good in a pinch but it will introduce a slight delay between record and the start of playback. Meaning you will have maybe 30 milliseconds or so to cut out in a wave editor. I have to try rendering with Sgorpi hooked up though, it seems like a gr...

Need some way to line up two wav's visually

I always thought this was a major drawback to buzz and figured it's pointless to mention it as most people are either less lazy then me or doing stuff that doesn't require a DAW. What is the general consensus on the feasibility of haveing a few DAW features? For example, lining up two wav's from dif...

Re: Other good or known forums for buzz and buzzlike softwar

I've used Renoise to good effect. It works in Linux as well. http://www.renoise.com/ Always end up back on Buzz for some reason. Last time it was because they didn't have all the features Polac's adapter gives you. (Sending notes to effects). I'd even go so far as to say Polac's adapter is at least ...

Re: Polac Asio issue: "Asio initialization failed"

I ran into this problem the other night. Don't know what the driver is looking for but I have two soundcards and was unable to hook up the old one which is usually the fix if deleting the key doesn't work. Even searched my registry for the offending soundcard and deleted all entries. Simply copy the...
