As Buzz users, have you found some nice Android music apps worth to check out?
Re: Android
I still haven't worked out how to really use it at all but Sunvox is pretty much Buzz for Android - really powerful bit of software: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... nvox&hl=en
Re: Android
Well - producer site seems to be dead, maybe domain has died because software was for free?
Re: Android
what are you talking about http://www.warmplace.ru/soft/sunvox/
Re: Android
At the time I've made this post the site was dead.
Re: Android

Oh I'm not american redneck and I can find producers site. All domain of warmplace.ru was dead. But that was in Russia - so maybe a bear has eaten theirs maintenance guy? Or maybe they didn't pay monthly bribe rate for russian govmob?mcbpete wrote:The android link I posted isn't free either so god knows what page you were on
Re: Android
Surely in Russia, maintenance guy eats bear?
Re: Android
If they start from theirs legs they can, partially, eat each other.

Re: Android
so have any of youse gotten a chance to use sunvox more ? It looks really cool to me and Im about to get a smart phone so yeah .. buzz for mah phone awesome !
Re: Android
From loading demos into it it seems really powerful, though for me what's prevented me from using it is the UI. It'd probably be excellent on tablets but on a smart phone sized screen it's quite fiddly getting from place to place.

Re: Android
yeah i d/l the pc version .. its pretty cool for a phone app but like you said that ui , tho pretty , is sorta klunky . also theres a lot of general functionality that is annoying but me thinks ive gotten very spoiled what with all the awesome aspects of Buzz (thanks devs and of course oskari)
ATM i still have a dumb phone but my gf is trying to make me join the 21st century in which case ill probably opt for something like this .

Re: Android
Although pretty different I found Nanoloop to be a lot more fun to play with and shows how a ui should be done on a phone sized screen - https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... m.nanoloop
Re: Android
Sunvox is pretty good. I use it on my phone when I'm bored, but I haven't come up with anything worthwhile yet.
Re: Android
It's pretty limited sound-set wise, but PixiTracker is quite fun & cheap (+ free demo).

Well, talking about Alex work, I still look for something like his soundfields for controlling my strings and trumpets articulation. A few months ago I asked him if a smartphone with an Android and his app can work as MIDI controller, but he answered that "Android has no built-in MIDI in/out frameworks" so maybe, in future he will implement some wireless protocols. But who knows when/whether it will be done... Maybe you, guys, know an existing, not necessary Android similiar solution?

Ps. I thought also about using a joystick and Tinga's (as a master of joystick-music) consultation but I'm afraid that any such device will broke into pieces after couple intensive tremolos and vibratos.

Re: Android
Mu_ I recently downloaded wireless mixer 1.5 from the android store it uses midi yoke to act as a controller for software. Haven't used utilities yet tho , not sure it'll what you want. Also found milky tracker for android but was too busy to see if it was any use.
Re: Android
You can't do it directly but you can use OSC as a bridge between the phone and midi i/o - http://hexler.net/software/touchosc-androidMu_ wrote:Well, talking about Alex work, I still look for something like his soundfields for controlling my strings and trumpets articulation.
