Smartelectronix Tubescreamer crashes every time

Post by pinkj »

Hey, all.

I have a lot of old tracks with Tubescreamer in them and they will always crash on me. It's been this way for years.

Is there a version that doesn't crash?

Thanks.

Have you run Dependency Walker on Tubescreamer's DLL to see if you're missing anything?

Hmm, I wonder if this can fix my issue with Reaper and the DMXIS VST...

hey pinkj :) you need the 2002 and 2003 vs runtimes. you should keep them in any buzz backup you ever make.

you can grab mine here:
http://lazytrap.com/buzz/MSVCR71.dll
http://lazytrap.com/buzz/msvcr70.dll

Many other machines need them. esp. Apo's machines. Put them in your buzz root dir.

For the future record, these dll's need to be in your buzz root folder.
The gear folder doesn't cut it.

Any idea why these aren't distributed with the Buzz install by default? Rights issues oslt?
