Behringer ASIO not showing up (does work in other DAWs..)
Hello! First time user altough would love to get my ASIO up and running. Any suggestions please? Thanks!!!
Re: Behringer ASIO not showing up (does work in other DAWs..
Can we assume you've got Polac ASIO* selected as your sound driver in Buzz and not WASAPI or something?
*Get it with Polac VST(i)
*Get it with Polac VST(i)
Re: Behringer ASIO not showing up (does work in other DAWs..
No Polac yet. Do I need to uninstall my original ASIO driver? Thanks!!
Re: Behringer ASIO not showing up (does work in other DAWs..
Nope!
- Install Polac VST
- Select Polac ASIO in Buzz's preferences
- In Polac ASIO's config, select the driver from your manufacturer.*
Re: Behringer ASIO not showing up (does work in other DAWs..
So I tried with this although the files I downloaded aren't matching exactly what is described here which also doesn't provide ASIO instructions :
http://www.xlutop.com/buzz/
his process seems very complicated for me to simply get ASIO working.
I am quite discouraged and will uninstall BUZZ unless someone can explain how to get my native ASIO driver working..
Thanks a lot!

Yes I saw that there is simply no ASIO option in my menu..installing POLAC seems quite complex. Shouldn't my existing ASIO driver show up? I am confused..
Re: Behringer ASIO not showing up (does work in other DAWs..
It's really quite easy to install. Just download the zip, and extract the contents to the Buzz folder (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Jeskola\Buzz)
Re: Behringer ASIO not showing up (does work in other DAWs..
OK:
*It's the WaveOut folder that has the wo_pasio.dll we need, but you're better off with the whole package.
**If you have a theme that's hidden that dropdown get there the config via View > Preferences like this
- Go to http://www.xlutop.com/buzz/ and download the x86 version (assuming you're using the x86/32bit version of Buzz (you should be!))
- Copy the contents* of the zip to your Buzz folder (the one with buzz.exe in) like so (In my screenshot, Buzz is not in the default location...).
Part of this package, Polac ASIO, adds a flexible ASIO capability to Buzz. - In the top-right of Buzz select Polac ASIO in the dropdown, then click the CFG button to open its ConFiG. Should look like this.**
- In the Device dropdown, select the sound card you want, and Buzz will use the ASIO driver you have installed for it.
Only once Buzz is enabled to use ASIO, with those steps.yul wrote:Shouldn't my existing ASIO driver show up? I am confused

Ok seems to be working now! I don't fully understand why this is necessary but I will try to learn thanks!!
Re: Behringer ASIO not showing up (does work in other DAWs..
Buzz is modular, it has an open structure to integrate external drivers, plugins, devices... Polac Drivers are just another module. That's how it is done.
