Load event doesn't crash now, maybe the update fixed itIXix wrote:I was so focussed on the missing Page problem that I forgot about this other bug. I haven't observed this behaviour but I did fix a few bugs that may have been related. Do you still have this problem? If so, can you give me steps to reproduce it?
IX Magic 1.16d - October 30th, 2023
Re: IX Magic - Updated December 10th 2019
Thank you, fixed, 2 Magics is cool, loading of the bmx I made this summer works fine now. I hope fixing it wasn't too difficult.
Re: IX Magic - Updated December 10th 2019
No, not difficult. Just took a bit of thinking.tinga wrote:Thank you, fixed, 2 Magics is cool, loading of the bmx I made this summer works fine now. I hope fixing it wasn't too difficult.
Great. Let me know if you find any other problems. I'm sure there'll be some somewhere.tinga wrote:Load event doesn't crash now, maybe the update fixed it

MAGIC
Thank you, IX!
Thank you, IX!
Re: IX Magic - Updated December 13th 2019
Under the hood, resetting an Event (which happens quite a bit for various reasons) now clears all queued actions belonging to that Event. I don't think that will cause any problems but I'm often wrong, so keep an eye out for any new bugs.IXix wrote:2019.12.13 - IX Magic 1.10b - x86
+ Fixed Trigger Sequence Events retriggering Sequences on inactive Pages.
Unfortunately there can still be hanging notes in some situations (note-offs are surprisingly complicated things). Fixing that will require more tinkering than I currently have time for but the solution is something I have considered previously for other reasons, so it will probably get done sooner rather than later.
Re: IX Magic - Updated December 13th 2019
Thank you, More i use Magic and more I like it, Magic allows complex scripts, very easy to make a 24h (or one week) ambient thing with many variations for an expo or something else, Buzz is very stable, I play some generative things more than 48h without any trouble, that's mean it can work more and more time.IXix wrote:2019.12.13 - IX Magic 1.10b - x86

As you expected , I detect some unexpected details, but it's your fault, you focus me on the "trigger sequence" and the "load page event ", absolutely killer features, I can't do without it anymore . I use your demo, create another page with a "load page event " but it doesn't fire, and it's not the last update, it was the same yesterday, but suspected the no stop of the page, another thing, trying to stop the sequences with "sequence enable", only the toggle mode can be selected, if I select disable, the pop-up always return to toggle, I think it's all for today.
I return to Magic, But I promise, I' ll use only things that work perfectly and don't show me amazing options I missed.
The triggering with Accumulator is perfect, (and .Acc sends note off). I haven't tested "set rules" and "set triggers".
Re: IX Magic - Updated December 13th 2019
All good tinga. I'll look at those as soon as I can. Keep hunting!
Re: IX Magic - Updated December 13th 2019
First attempt with "Trigger Sequence"
Magic can cause brain disease. It opens worlds but they are hard to reach!
A matter of training

Something intrigued me for a while, a mysterious command, "RTFM", so before to try it I search on the net and I see " Read The Fucking Manual", the only thing not explained in the manual.
I understand how difficult it was to write so yes " Read The Fucking Manual"

I couldn't reproduce that bug, could you be more specific?tinga wrote:I use your demo, create another page with a "load page event " but it doesn't fire

If I save and reload the file, it works , not a bug, we can write a book in auto read.IXix wrote:Update bump!

I like how this sequencer works, something unique, multipliers for sequences, notes, rests are great, intricate loops, thank you for the update.
Small remix of your self drive
Very good structure, I keep the idea.thOke wrote:First attempt with "Trigger Sequence
A dirty remix.

Does it not fire when you change Page? It should do.tinga wrote:I use your demo, create another page with a "load page event " but it doesn't fire

edit: I like the self drive. Very peaceful.
Re: IX Magic - Updated December 28th 2019
tinga, thx for the dirty rmx! adds mysteriousness to the magic.
the selfdrive3 is magnificent
some more pattern-orientated attempts: Thx again IXix for hours of fun with this great machine,
it seriously expands the Buzz-Universe

Re: IX Magic - Updated December 28th 2019
.. and a tiny 'bug'
when saving a template, the "on delay" value is not saved. here is the template for auto (self-drive), which should have 4 ticks on delay.

Re: IX Magic - Updated December 28th 2019
... and a stupid question:
Changing the accumulator value adds delay.
In the following example the kyrie accumulator is set to 8.
To synchronize the hihat and the kyrie, i have to delay the hihat for 28 ticks.
Must it be like that?

Re: IX Magic - Updated December 28th 2019
If you want it to fire immediately, put "8:8" in the box. The second value is the counter offset, so the first time the Event is triggered the counter will count "8" instead of "1".thOke wrote:... and a stupid question:

You can also put a third value in which will limit the number of times the Event will fire. "8:8:4" would make it fire every eight triggers but stop firing after the fourth.
Re: IX Magic - Updated December 28th 2019
I'll fix that as soon as I can! Probably just forgot to paste some code somewhere.thOke wrote:when saving a template, the "on delay" value is not saved...
