Could be a bridgeing problem if you are using the x64 version of the plugin. The vst bridge is not 100% working with all plugins.

HerrFornit:
""works ok here, (I dont mean the EQ result, tried only once) . I uninstalled that extra crap immediately after installation (intel...) only keeping the balance.dll (renamed before uninstall), Had to input activation key only once. Bridge GUI thing as well (x64 bit )""

@HerrFornit : Did you uninstall this ?

Because I reopen Buzz and I have to re-enter reg. key again on Balancer. Thanks HF

Weird - never had a problem with anything else (in fact, your loader does a better job of loading x64 VSTs than anything else I've tried). Are there any diagnostics I can enable that would help get a better picture of just where the hiccup happens?

Also, there's unfortunately no x86 version of the plugin, despite what the site says.

A few more notes:

The VST3 version works (loads and remembers the activation)... but only if it's the FIRST x64 machine to be loaded, for some bizarre reason. If I try to load it after loading any other x64 machine (VST2 or VST3, doesn't matter as long as it's 64 bits), it immediately crashes with a non-helpful "load error! <path to vst3shell.x64.dll>". (Though, to be clear - Balancer > other x64 > another Balancer still works fine)

If a .BMX is "inoculated" by first loading a Balancer VST3, I can do whatever I like (including deleting the original Balancer VST3 machine). I can also "inoculate", then paste a "dirty" .BMX into the project and it works fine. Maybe this is a useful clue on the dev side of things?

I'm not a professional coder, but my hunch is that Balancer is expecting itself to be "#1" in a device list ("top of the stack", to try and sound like an assembly guy about it), and when it sees that #1 is something other than itself, it farts up, either with the "Device ID error" message in VST2, or by just crashing the VST3. Maybe other DAWs have the newest-added device "on top" and Polac VST puts the new guys on the bottom, or maybe it's not actually adding the VST to the device until it finishes loading and Balancer expects itself to be added as soon as it starts loading?

Yeah Magma, no worries (and sorry for hijacking this thread a little with tech support). If the plugin wasn't good (when it works), I wouldn't care that it was broken!

Thanks for sharing, this one is great!

Right click -> preferences and check "Process With Fixed Blocksize" fixed the issue for me.

Thanks TS!
Wusik DLooper seems cool. Reminds me the great buzz gen called LiveSlice :

A really fun machine, very inspiring. When I will be less lazy I will finish a video about machines with graphic gui in Buzz.

Some holiday freebies, all requiring some kind of account creation:

Audiothing has a nice little granular reverb/pitch shifter, free through the end of the year:
https://www.audiothing.net/effects/things-texture/

Arturia has a Juno chorus effect that's free through Dec 29:
https://www.arturia.com/freegift-chorus-jun6

Native Instruments has a free Yangqin (Chinese hammered dulcimer) for Kontakt Player, if that's your thing:
https://www.native-instruments.com/en/s ... s-with-us/

and Cableguys have an enveloped distortion thing that you can get for free via Plugin Boutique using the discount code zn1v9 (through the end of the year, I think)
https://www.pluginboutique.com/products/7176

Of these, I like the granular plugin the most. It's simple and useful, though a bit CPU heavy.

Something different:
It's an virtual concert of Jean-Michel Jarre at new year's eve. Hope you can see it offline, too.
He is going to play songs from "Electronica" and new versions of "Oxygene".
