Odd question (what else is new from me, eh? ),
I know that there is Soundfont player machine for Buzz - Soundfont Loader 1.1 by Rout. Are there any SFZ 2.0 players or would I have to rely on a VST like Plogue's sforzando? I'm thinking I'd have to go the VST route, right? I didn't see anything on Robotplanet, but as well all know, there's a lot of machines that haven't been posted there.

Re: SFZ 2.0
I dont know exactly about sfz 2.0 but Jeskola XS-1 load soundfonts in high quality.
I often use soundfont and always with it.
I think it's installed with buzz install, you dont have to add it manualy.

I didn't know XS-1 loaded soundfonts. Hmmm.... I'll give it a try & see if it loads SFZ files. Thanks magmavander!

Just had a look. It loads *.xs1 (XS-1 Samples); *.sf2 (Soundfonts) & *.wav (WAVES). No dice. Oh well, I guess I'll give sforzando a try in the mean time.
Thanks anyway, mag!

Re: SFZ 2.0
Sorry, I misunderstood the sfz file format with soundfont.
For sfz there is only vst I guess, sforzando but also as free vst :
QIREX Player : https://vst4free.com/plugin/1243/
Another SFZ player : https://vst4free.com/plugin/1703/
But again, XS-1 is a fantastic machines to use with soundfonts (it plays also wav) check this :

Re: SFZ 2.0
There is a free program for editing and converting between soundfont formats:
https://www.polyphone-soundfonts.com/
Depending on which features of the SFZ format are being used, some parts may not fully translate to SF2, but it's worth a try if you want to use the samples in XS-1.
