Installer:
  • When I installed your previous one (from chat) it took ages to load: it's scanning all me VSTs cos an old buzz has left the registry entry for the folder.
  • ...After 1 error ("playtime only works in Reaper!") it had stopped scanning, but there was no indication - relaunching it launched Buzz instantly.
  • maybe installer could clear this setting from registry (with a warning!) ??
  • This time it did not do this, and just opened... presumably cos I didn't add any VSTs this week.

help/intro :

  • "now click the icon on the right" <= gotta be specific cos in this theme (I've never seen before) iits' easy to skim over the one you mean to the next one
    Image
  • "Go to Machine View and add machine Polac VSTi 1.1" <= ok, how ?
  • Tells you about the different views, but not how to get to them ( f-key and icon ), Should call em by their full name like "Machine View (f3)" all the 00s files I learnt Buzz from did iirc
  • wavetable should be there too imho!
I can't remember what f11 is, but it crashes buzz (!)

Cool. Integrate the WDE-plug-in-suite and it is BUZZ overhauled 2022
seriously.
That suite would be nice to download and extract in the right directories anyway. ;)

Is it better (stable) than the 32 bit version with 32 bit plug-ins (vsts)?
Even polac tends to use 32 bit vsts only for better stability.

Joachims Beefyness (a new one for me  ) is present in .png form only.

It would be better if the installer didn't overwrite index.txt.

Other machines - there are so many it's hard to know what should and should not be included. I think it's probably best to keep the installer largely free of third party machines and let users install their own from robotplanet.

Great!
Accumulator, peerLFO, IX Magic works fine, also Polac delay.
 I have to send you the updated file for guitar chord.
The new chords tool in pattern editor is cool, i see you put my list, I'll make another one, because the big list is guitar chords, guitar is limited for chords, some guitar chords sound bad with others sounds, and my list is messy...
This Buzz 64 is a great news.

I am really excited by this.
Since using Buzz for twenty years, I was actually about to give up. I recently transitioned to a new laptop and using either 32bit of 64bit Buzz has been basically unusable. This edition seems to have ironed out some stuff.

One ongoing problem though. When I use Spitfire LABS 64bit plugin (which I use a lot), half the time the gui opens up, half the time it is totally unobtainable. I have learnt to live with having to minimise the GUI rather than closing it like in other plugins. But half the time it cannot be opened at all, meaning I can't change the sound at all. LABS is a JUCE plugin which sometimes has problems. However, other JUCE plugins now seem to be loading the GUI without any problems.

I have tried checking and unchecking 'enable VST GUI'... any other thoughts with this new version...

Hi wde,

thank you for the great work! I tested it and I had no problem. Runs fine, stable.

The new sequencer is really cool, a spectrum for each column is neat as the mini track view in each patterns.
There is one thing I'd like to see back in the new sequencer is the vertical lines between each columns. It's just a matter of taste but I like it. I'm a bit disturbed without it.

Can we use PatternXP Mod here ? I use it a lot and I miss it.

As I wanted to make new video tutorials for Buzz (in particular how to install it, same for machines and vst), do you think it would be better that I wait for a "final" version from you and not use the traditionnal x32 version ?

All the best

No need to be disturbed anymore.

Yes, just use 64bit version and install it as instructed.

It is done. I'm fully switched to Buzz x64 and it is awesome!

Hi WDE
BIG Thank you too.
Exuse me my question ,I use my older buzz 64 setup with the new Engine32 .exe.
But I figured out ,there is maybe just only my own issue for the mixIO machine:
When I click 'SOLO' hmmm.Maybe it is wrong something in my setup... :?:
thanks a lot !

SOLO and MUTE states are independent of each other, SOLO does not set MUTE state, but it still "mutes" the sound of the other channels. it's a bit different, but more flexible, than a traditional mixer. In other words: SOLO is not implemented through MUTE, but separate. At least that's how it's intended to work. Does it behave different for you on 32bit buzz than on 64bit?
