Help - Audio Glitches

Post by Grids »

Hi, I am experiencing some extremely weird audio glitches in buzz and also in Reaper and I have no idea what is going on. I have also posted in the Reaper forums but I am really struggling to find a solution.

In buzz when I get to particular sections of a song that used to sound fine on another laptop - everything disintegrates into horrible noise. In one track it's when a second Utracker2 comes in...it just turns into horrible digital glitches/noise and then the UTrack is disabled.

I get the same results when I use ASIO4ALL, Fast Track Pro or standard sound card (Realtek)

My original problem was in Reaper (particularly when I used the M Audio Fast Track Pro). I would have clean audio until about the one minute mark of any song and then it would churn out horrible glitches.

I have updated bios and drivers. I ran Latency Mon...It was saying audio dropouts etc until I updated the bios but there are still audio glitches in both Reaper and Buzz.

Please help

What are your Power Options set at? It should be "High Performance" or another similarly configured profile.

Thanks.Yeah I have adjusted power settings.

I think I have sorted the problem now.

I think the buzz and reaper issues were separate although updating bios helped both of them.

I also think buzz' issues related to weird sample stuff that sometimes happens in utrack that causes noise bursts. I also think there were issues when you have reverbs, compressors and limiters cranked in a chain and Buzz outputs noise. I have removed some of these specific chains within tracks and the noise bursts have stopped.

Cheers.
