Free stuff while locked in
Many audio companies are giving out free things while we're all locked up.
https://cherryaudio.com/free - Voltage Modular (Nucleus, base setup)
Korg - Kaossilator App is free on the app stores right now (normally 15 $)
If you don't loathe Kontact player, NI is giving away a synth -

Eeehm and for all who like cool skinned audioplayers and do not know it already:
Winamp is brought back by some cool Project, runs stable as a Rock, even under a themed Win 7 and 10!
You can use avs and milkdrop visuals and also all the old skins ...
Simply search for WACUP (WinAmp Community Update Project), sorry If you already knew it

Thanks Buzztler. I was sort of shocked a while ago when my computer indicated that there was an update for my WinAmp. I DL'd the new version & am stoked to know that it's back in development. I've never found another Media Player that I like as much as WinAmp. I'm glad you mentioned this

For those who are not very good on EQ and mastering, Sonible offrers till the 13 april for free Balancer a spectral processor.
Can be really useful sometimes, a great VST.
As always you have to create an account to get it.

Anyone else having issues with this one in Buzz? Every time I relaunch Buzz and try to open Balancer it will pop up with "device ID creation failed" and asks me to re-enter the activation code. Once I do, it works fine, though requires being detached from the VST Gui (control-alt menu) in order for the drop-down to work properly. Trying to load a .BMX with Balancers already in it will cause the first Balancer instance I open to glitch out, lose its current settings and demand the activation code, but other Balancers in the BMX will be okay.magmavander wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 10:33 am For those who are not very good on EQ and mastering, Sonible offrers till the 13 april for free Balancer a spectral processor.

Seems to work fine in Reaper, for whatever that's worth.

works ok here, (I dont mean the EQ result, tried only once) . I uninstalled that extra crap immediately after installation (intel...) only keeping the balance.dll (renamed before uninstall), Had to input activation key only once. Bridge GUI thing as well (x64 bit ).

Re: Free stuff while locked in
Odd, I didn't notice any extra crap (well, there's AU and VST3 versions, but I just unchecked those boxes during the install). Just tried renaming the .dll to see if that was somehow an issue, no dice though.HerrFornit wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 9:40 pmRiver Cricket wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 9:33 pmAnyone else having issues with this one in Buzz? No, running x86 version. I uninstalled via "Apps and Features" in windows settings. There was the balancer software and some intel software with same installation date. uninstalled both. Using VST2 only. Pethaps you could try to start buzz as admin and choose a different installation folder outside programs folder.

Re: Free stuff while locked in
When I tried Buzz as admin it just straight-up crashed when trying to load the VST. Very odd. Tried a full uninstall (including the Intel C++ redistributable it snuck in there) and reinstall, tried installing it to root directory (in case spaces were an issue) and again to my Buzz folder (in case it needed admin privs). No matter what it's the same situation, thoughHerrFornit wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2020 7:35 am No, running x86 version. I uninstalled via "Apps and Features" in windows settings. Works fine in Reaper.
Which version of Windows are you on? "Apps and Features" makes me think maybe you're on 8/10?
Is there a way to view a log to maybe narrow down where exactly the hiccup is occurring? @polac, any ideas what might be going on here?
Editing to add:
It works in 64-bit Buzz. Is this a first - something that works in Buzz64 and not Buzz32? Also tried a clean install of Buzz32 on a separate hard drive, with fresh PVST b33 and nothing else - didn't work, same issue.
