No new members will impact future of buzz
No new members will impact future of buzz
I really love buzz. I have noticed (unless I am mistaken) that new users can't sign up to this forum. I assume this was because of spam.
I am concerned that not allowing new members to join will reduce the number of new people using and thriving with buzz. And this will ultimately impact future development and creative uses of buzz, particularly with new systems updates etc.
I would not have lasted with buzz if it wasn't for buzzchurch and for this form.
Access to these forums is so essential for installation, understanding tracker commands, avoiding bugs and so much more.
I am wondering if there is a way around this.

thanx Grids for heads up. Oskari should correct this. Did you send him a message? The last 10 new members were fake users, probably that's the reason.

Re: No new members will impact future of buzz
Yeah I lately got some mails from an oldkool buzzuser who wanted to register here to this forum for some bugreports but wasn't able to do, that's a pity.
Re: No new members will impact future of buzz
there's the IRC channel, same thing as discord right won't change the fact that there wasn't a buzz update since 2016. And everyone on IRC knows why
Re: No new members will impact future of buzz
ok i enabled registrations but someone has to deal with the spammers if they come back
Re: No new members will impact future of buzz
Hello again! And first, thanks to Grids for opening this thread, thanks for support to Polac and last but not least thanks to Oskari for reenabling registering in the forum!! Great news for me!!!!
After over 22 years of Buzzing, I felt a little left alone since Buzzmachines.com closed it's doors and registering didn't work for a bunch of years. However, I always read the forum (or asked Polac in case of problems ). Even though I didn't release (or finish ) any music for a looong period of time, I'm glad to join the family again.
Keep buzzing!

Not sure which version of phpbb this place is running but I've found recaptcha v3 (built in support on phpbb v3.3.x onward I believe) is managing to automatically kick out an average of 100 spam registrations per week on one of my forums.
