Trying to load a MIDI file in Piano Roll from FractMus 2000

Post by DJ Saint-Hubert »

https://fractmus.com/ I dunno I just created a single track MIDI file using this and tried to import it into Piano Roll of a Blok Modular instance. It gives me the error "Data 1 Value Out of Range. Parameter Name: data1, Actual Value was 255." It's a very old program so I can't find a VST version that just spits out MIDI. It might be available for Max/MSP or something but I don't want to do that. I think it might be too long of a pattern but I set the pattern to end at 128 and the pattern (the one in Buzz) is 8000 rows, so it's not hitting the end of the pattern, probably. It's not the biggest priority but I'd like to try this program in conjunction with Buzz

I want to load it in Blok Modular so I can do further things with the tuning, delays/arpeggios, to make it more interesting. The guy I know on archive.org that uses these sorts of programs a lot just uses it like a sampler I think, for the most part

Easier to route the midi output of Fractmus into Buzz via midiox or similar.
