I miss the old <dance> emoticon.mantratronic wrote:i got it working...
this is awesome, very flexible, and i can see myself using this with ix split for added generatable madness
Also, <chuckle> at your screen cap of joachip and you talking on IRC
Thanks man! Glad you like it.Joachip wrote:This thing rocks! Someone should write an install guide, because it takes a lot of inside knowledge to get up and running.
I should do an install guide & README.
Something you had already been working on, I'm guessing? Nice stuff.
EDIT: Listening again, and man, I like it more and more. By the way, what are the bits of Japanese from, do you know? At the end it sounds to me like she is saying something like "I wonder where everyone would end up going during the day"
Re: MIDI processing stuff I've been working on.
Hehe yeah it was a track i wrote recently. I simply replaced the melody with something i played live.
I've noticed two little weirdnesses so far:
1) When playing louder than a certain level, the notes become very short.
2) Sometimes it's like notes are longer than expected. As if there's a delay before a note-off is sent.
But of course, I'm still very new to this app. It's probably just me not using it right.
I'll have to re-check what that voice sample was when I get home from work. But it sounds to me like she's saying something about sadness (sabishii)... but my japanese is very broken, so you're probably right.

Really works for me.Joachip wrote:Hehe yeah it was a track i wrote recently. I simply replaced the melody with something i played live.
Both of those sound totally mysterious. What was your setup? External controller and a scale rectifier in relative kb mode?I've noticed two little weirdnesses so far:

(TODO: explain normal vs. compact modes, etc).
Yeah, when she first comes in I think there's something about sad times (kanashii toki)I'll have to re-check what that voice sample was when I get home from work. But it sounds to me like she's saying something about sadness (sabishii)... but my japanese is very broken, so you're probably right.
Then a couple of times after that I'm hearing "minna, hiruma doko he itteshimau darou ka"
Anyway, great use of this vocal sample - really adds atmosphere and interest.

That would be really great. I am very curious about it.
I should do an install guide & README.

In the meantime, here's another improv jazz session.
