Hard Disk Recorder Render Loop strangles Buzz upon finish

Under Buzz build 1462 on Windows 7 (32-bit), I tried to write a track to disk with the Render Loop function of the Hard Disk Recorder. When it reached the end of the render and the buttons unghosted, I went to try and add an ID3 tag to the WAV file. Windows said the file was still in use, even though there was no indication of this by Buzz or the hard drive. I tried to close out the track in Buzz and Buzz seized up completely - I had to open Task Manager to kill the process. When I killed the process, the filesize of the saved song changed on the hard drive from about 60,000 KB to 3K. I was able to reproduce this result twice, but when I tried a third time and used Record Loop instead of Render Loop, Buzz completed the write and released the file with no problems. I have not tried Render Loop 2 yet.

Let me know if you need any more information or troubleshooting data. I tried to create a dump file in Task Manager but it borked.

I've also been having problems with Render Loop lately. Record Loop works fine, but Render Loop gets stuck at 100% and then Buzz goes unstable and the resulting .wav file is broken. More or less consistently. I haven't tried it in the latest build, though.

I've had no problems either, but several ppl have reported this.. someone supply Oskari with an example bmx already ;]

...aaaand here we go. Nothing weird in playback, but I was able to reproduce the same error (Open Hard Disk Recorder, open Browse to change saved file name, click Render Loop, wait for Buzz to finish rendering, close Hard Disk Recorder, resave BMX to make sure I have latest changes and then click New to choose new song, whereupon Buzz freezes and subsequently crashes).

Anyway, hope this helps, and assuming the file still works, enjoy the music.

afaik the problem only comes up when you disable the actual song looping (toolbar icon).
when it is enabled while using Render Loop then the file gets written correctly.

I'm sorry...I meant to answer this question a lot earlier, but I opened Buzz and promptly started working on tracks and forgot why I opened it.

...and now that you bring it up, I'm pretty sure I turned the loop off each time I recorded (naive fear that it wouldn't stop at the end of the song and just keep recording).
