This is not only only about this slide note - because different machines have their own features which won't be reflected by standard polac vsti pattern which always look the same - no matter, what machine do you use. Many of old buzz machines are good damn ones and I don't want to resign from them and theirs goodies.
That's incorrect. It is only about the slide note. And assigning takes two seconds. Click on Learn. PVST will work for 99% of all other Buzz gens and effects out there. You picked a machine was designed specifically for tracker usage and nothing else, there are very few of these. It is irresponible of you to take 1 exception and then claim the whole thing doesn't work.

MIDI Edit, from within the PXP Pattern editor, works on any machine. Except special tracker only ones that have an extra slide note column. Only the real note column will recieve a note.

As far as assigning things in PVST, you seem intimidated. It's way easy. Just click on Auto Learn and move a couple sliders. Don't bother with F4.

i have tried to load ox-11 generator (buzz machine) via polac vst using .lnk file among dlls. it works fine with midi keyboard but does not have polyphony. still plays only one sound. is there a 'polyphony' switch somewhere ?

btw ... 11-Ox is an EFFECT
HI,

this is 11-Ox - my ?th attempt to make an effect with that you can build
new fm-synths. but i'm not so happy with it ;-( . anyway it's an interesting
machine, cause it uses the public dll memory to communicate with other
Ox's. i added some small demos that could help to understand. the most
important sliders (if using more Ox's) are ID and Source. Every Ox should
have it's own ID! If you connect one Ox to another it will get a note signal
of the destination, if it's source is equal to the destination's ID.
The frequency is controlled via the Pitch. In Carrier-Mode the notes are
shifted. As a Modulator the frequencys are multiples of the frequency of then
source Ox. If you want FM you have to increase the FM-Amount and FM-Depth of
the Carrier.

HAVE FUN

whar do you want to do?
if you simply want to control infector notes from a midi device, set the midi channel in infector's attributes.
you don't need peerctrl for that. but it's useful, when you want to assign other infector parameters to midi cc.

yes, i simply want to control any buzz machine notes from a midi device, and i want polyphonic. older buzz machines do not support midi, as far as i know.

use cyanphase mc-1 with midi, it's polyphonic and if you connect a generator to it the midi notes will be sent to the gen.

Other options include IX Split or Polac Internal MIDI sending to Midi Bus.

thOke wrote:you can play almost any buzz generator live via midi.

1.) Add Polac Midi In - select appropriate midi input device and send midi to
2.) Polac Midi Bus II (Midi Bus I also works, but a little different) ... assign Midi Bus II to your desired Buzz Gen

optionally
3.) Use PeerCTRL to assign any parameter to any midi controller

could someone please post a link to polac midi in? couldn't find it on google, xlutop or buzzmachines.com. Thanks!

To expand:

Assuming you have the latest-greatest Polac stuff installed, go to machine view and type "i i" - should bring up Polac MIDI In (and not much else).
"i b" will bring up your MIDI bus machines. (or "x s" to bring up IX Split).

If you aren't really using any sort of MIDI input from outside of Buzz and just want to "keyjazz" from QWERTY, you can type "l m" and look for Internal MIDI in the list (instead of using Polac MIDI In).

I can understand why people didn't work that out, I would never have guessed that you could drag on those numbers - that contradicts standard user interface design rules, it looks like it's just information, not something you can edit. It should simply have up/down buttons next to it, then people would know what it was! And it would be helpful if it said 'Polyphony' next to it too!

BONUS QUESTION: I have noticed that when changing presets in a generator, it resets the MIDI Channel so I have to reconfigure it each time. Is this just because it's a preset option or could this be a glitch?

ADDENDUM: Maybe this is just in the case of FSM Infector.

It's a known issue with Infector. See for example this thread (has some helpful info from tinga) viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1458&p=6035&hilit=infector#p6035
