LoopDrive 4 / VST not stored in .bmx

Post by strobotone »

Hello there,

when changing VST-parameters in LoopDrive 4 VST http://www.yedey.com/2009/12/loopdrive- ... version-4/
they don´t seem to get stored within the bmx file.
So when loading the bmx the settings in the VST plugin are always the default ones.
Is this a problem of the PVSTLoader or the plugin itself?
It works with other VST hosts like Renoise as far as i can tell.

There are other plugins which show the same behaviour in Buzz / PVSTLoader.
Anyone of you having the same issue?

Thanks !

Hi, i have downloaded file and think i know where is the problem. I see it's one .dll with a couple of plugins, am i wrong? I have the same issue with LADSPA plugin pack called Calf and they are in one file (btw, made by FSM ).

You can download LADSPA plugins collection for windows from:

No problems for me with loopdrive here, it loads the bmx just fine. But I can confirm that the calf does not load correctly, perhaps a bug in the ladspa wrapper.

Sorry, i made a mistake in the decription of this.

The VST itself loads fine :)
Load the VST, tweak some parameters, save the bmx, load the bmx and take a look at the params.
They are always back to default (atleast in my case).
Tested this on different machines.

Yeah, I've the same issue with Edirol Orchestral. I normally have to make notes in the Info View section (or save the performance with the native .ope file format that the VSTi uses) - I'm thinking it's a problem with the VST itself rather than the loader, but it sure would be nice to have them saved along with the bmx rather than note things down every time...

Yes i did exactly the same. First I did load a new loop, tweaked the filter and some other stuff, then saved the song. It reloads fine here with all tweakings i did. But I think I read something about synthmaker plugins causing such things years ago. But it's odd that it works for me here.

think i just found the cause.

if the number of slices is greater than 8 the slicepatterns will not get stored correctly.
so it looks like the (synthmaker)plugin is causing it like polac said.

thanks all!

@strobotone is your VST directory somewhere you have write permissions without using "run as admin" (i.e. outside of Prgram Files) ?

Sure. Why are you asking?
