LD mixer stopped working for me in the new Buzz. MixIO is much nicer IMO.

FSM Wahman 2 was replaced by Wahman 2 Pro which was replaced by the bug free, stereo, and more filter modes final version - FSM Philthy.

I've been using Wahman 2 Pro, but If Philthy is better, I'll switch to that :D

No u r not the only person still using LD mixer ... I had in before jlimiter in the chain before the master ... I still run on Win Xp Sp2 and Buzzbuilt 1453, one reason therefore is that I use some progs, thatdo not run under Sp3 (!!!), so LD mixer still works fine with an "overloaded buzz". There are some newer skins that do not work for me ( buzz simply doesn't load the bmx's when I use this new and very good looking skin  )
I like the worflow with this mixer, it's almost like a real vintage analog-mixer-board ... I didn't check mixio so far, but perhaps I'll give it a try ...

UNZ wrote:of course... a lot of buzz machines are really "crap" quality wise, for example resampling in mtrk / utrk, aliasing everywhere. Doesn't mean they are useless or don't make nice sounds, just that they produce artefacts that may not be wanted. They where written at times where CPU cycles where precious, so some machines just took shortcuts and called it "good enough". Some artefacts you can reduce by just running at a higher rate or turning on oversampling btw. At the end of the day what matters is if its sounds like you want it to, if not use something else... For example FunkyVerb sounds really weird and artificial mostly, but sometimes it just does the job (damping the heck out of it works nice too). Tethys is one of my favourites too :)
Please allow me to say that those "crap" quality buzz machines actually made me love Buzz more than anything else. They make my tracks sound lofi in a very special way. For several years from 2004 I could never produce such tracks in today's sequencers! Buzz machines and Buzz mixing allowed me to make a sound! For one I am happy these lofi filters like that same Geonik 2pFilter or Mtrk still exist and work today ! :)

I agree, however, that such "lo-fi" processing isn't always desirable or wanted by everyone! But I couldn't resist and come up with my love for lo-fi sound and those artifact noises. There's nothing that compares to Buzz machine collection in this sense today. Oh, where did that click-and-cut era vanish so quickly? :) OK, I digress.
