CEDAR Cambridge Servers are used by the world's leading record companies including BMG, Abbey Road, and Skywalker Sound.

The result of a collaboration between the British National Sound Archive and Cambridge University for the restoring of old archives.

Of course! This stuff is top notch, I have no doubts. But FUCKING GREEDY LITTLE BASTARDS they are! $8,600??? Not that I would ever use something like that, I realize this soft is for audio restoration, but lets face it: They did their homework, they figured their clients would be loaded with cash and they charge a fortune for a fucking denoiser! Sorry I get heated up, but this is ridiculous pricing, not to mention it looks like shit, just an extra kick to the balls.

I agree, but it is for CEDAR Servers and the clients aren't really bothered of its price. The GUI is really nasty.

I post this here, as we're arguing about prices...
I own a Culture Vulture Mastering Plus, it's an early buy, can't remember it's number but it should be in the first hundred produced... actually it's priced up to 1940.00 EUR
But I paid it less *years ago* It's a strange market, as the rack seemed almost ignored in the past.

That actually makes sense, and it's hardware too, looks great! On the topic of Cedar, I spoke with a guy who's been in the industry for decades, and he said that Cedar really does the job! There's a lot under the hood, so it's a great piece of software. I just think it falls under same heading as the SSL consoles costing up to $1,000,000 just for the sake of the name. They sound amazing, but forget about ever owning one.
