Hi everyone, I've tried to get PeerScream running in Buzz 1.2 but when I assign it to let's say the master volume it wouldn't do anything, or maybe there's something I'm missing. Does it work for you guys?
edit: i'm using this version http://btdsys.lazytrap.com/remository?f ... info&id=39
BTDSys PeerScream still working
Re: BTDSys PeerScream still working
Hi ... it's working here. I had a different version though:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/btdsys/ ... alphabeta/
... but i tried the version you have and it also works here (Win7 64bit with latest Buzz 32bit)
Anyway ... it's kind of obsolete because you can draw with PatternXP alone!!
EDIT
Ah, you are using "Old Buzz" !?!?
Just tried that and got this error message

Re: BTDSys PeerScream still working
Hi, thanks!
I wonder why it (PeerScream) wouldn't work here, hopefully it's not some between-chair-and-monitor-problem. Gonna try the version you are using, thanks for the link, much appreciated!
Edit: I've tried the other version and it still wouldnt work. -_-
Here is what I'm doing: I open a new project, add PeerScream, assign it to Master -> Volume, set some values in pattern 00 and let it run in the sequencer. Is there anything I'm missing?

Hm well, I'm using new Buzz, but CTRL+G in Pattern XP is awful for really long patterns and I like the width of the columns in PeerScream. Maybe it will become more handy again with chahur's pattern xp mod.Anyway ... it's kind of obsolete because you can draw with PatternXP alone!!

Re: BTDSys PeerScream still working
It's been a long time since I tried but IIRC <faultymemory>Buzz doesn't let peer machines control the master (anymore). You used to be able to do it in old Buzz but since peer went non-hacky the master seems to be out of bounds</faultymemory>. If you want to automate master volume then use a gain machine before the master and control that instead.
edit: Actually I just tried and it works okay here, so I don't know what's going on. It still might be worth trying it on a gain machine anyway though.

Hm... it just works here like that. Sorry, no idea what's wrong on your side.cbasstn wrote: Is there anything I'm missing?

Does it work with other parameters, controlling Infector Cutoff or something like that?
Re: BTDSys PeerScream still working
Thanks guys!
Gonna try out a few more things and post the result when I solved it somehow.
Just tried that, no luck either, really weird.thOke wrote:

Re: BTDSys PeerScream still working
Turns out it wouldn't work on my laptop either, running Windows 7 64Bit as well there, made a fresh install of buzz with only the minimum machines, downloaded PeerScream and assigned it to Qsamo's cutoff - nothing happening. Really makes me wondering if the problem really is actually me.
Gotta add that all other of BTDSys' Peer Machines do work nicely. Kinda sad, PeerScream would have been a really nice treat. I guess I'll leave it at that for the moment.
Again, thanks a lot for your time guys!

Re: BTDSys PeerScream still working
64bit might be the problem. My system is 32bit.
