Fade automation / strange signal processing

Hi,

I'm wondering what approaches you are using to automate fading in/out of machines/tracks. Do you put a gain controller in between and control it via some peer controll, or do you simply use DedaCode's or Ninereeds Autofade machines? Or anthing completely different?

I'm asking because I've used Ninereed's AutoFade for as long as I can remember and now after having upgraded my monitor speakers I noticed a change in the ingoing signal even without doing any fading. The lower-end frequency part seems to be cut off or at least turned down and there are some changes in other frequency areas as well. Same happens when I put DedaCode's fader between a Mathilde Tracker and the Master, putting a simple Jeskola Gain there would leave the ingoing signal as it is and actually just take care of the gain, but I lack ideas to come up with an automated fade as easy as with the autofaders.
So, well, that's why I'm wondering how you do it and if there are other ways to easily setup fades?

I've made short examples of what I mean by strange signal processing, using a short wav beat loop.

Mathilde Tracker -> Master
Mathilde Tracker -> Ninereeds AutoFade v1.0 -> Master
Mathilde Tracker -> DedaCodes Fade -> Master
Mathilde Tracker -> Jeskola Gain -> Master

I've always used PeerADSR for fades.

I always use this old trick from kmkrebs :
How to fade-in/out with cheapo amp:
1) Make a pattern that sets the 'gain in %' to 0 and the inertial to 0.
2) Make another pattern that sets the 'gain in %' value to what you want.
Set the inertial value to however many ticks you want it to take to fade in from 0 to your specified value.

Thanks a lot guys! Yeah I think some ADSR-ish way via inertia/attack setting seems to be really handy.
