i do not know what does it mean, is that 24 or 32 bit wave file ? i just need any way to get this sound into buzz. long files over 100 MB. tried fuzzpliz inp does not work, r-dev does not work, morex fails too.

Audiacity, open, export, other uncompressed file types, options and choose one according to your prefferences.

what You say is, no way to get it straight through some machine ? i got a lot of this stuff from recording sessions (cubase) and converting it each time would be a nightmare..

cubase 5 says, the recording is 24 bit, then the file seems to be 32-bit. what is the matter ?

Have you tried newer sample players (eg Matilde Tracker 3 - http://www.buzzmachines.com/machineinfo.php?id=1057 or Unweildy Tracker 2 - http://www.buzzmachines.com/machineinfo.php?id=1058 ). It could be that the other machines you're using just don't understand the 24bit format and getting themselves confused by the correct bit rate

Maybe content of file is 24 bit but file format is 32 bit because of lazy Germans who didn't have to willness to produce separate 'containers' for 16, 24, 32 bit content? Or maybe they just have forgotten to change header of 24 bit file? Does your Cubase have most recent updates?
Can you produce a small file and put a link to is somewhere? I will look at it. Or even two ones - 24 bit and 32 bit.

i cannot give entire file, i got only long 300mb files, so i cut first 360k of one. i use cubase 5 LE purchased along with tascam us-1800 interface, it is not too old, i hope. the title of this thread is what another application (Cool Edit) says: 24-bit packed int (type1 (24-bit)) and below it says also 44100 Hz, 32-bit, mono.

There must be something wrong with that specific wav then as I've just imported a 20 minute 48khz/24-bit wav (~350mb) and it's playing back fine through Matilde 2 (1.9rc8). What version of buzz are you running / specs of your machine ?

EDIT: My Cool Edit also comes up a 24-bit packed Int but 32-bit in the description, Foobar says 24bit though - Same with that 350mb file I imported. Cool Edit's getting on a bit now so I think it's just being a little senile  If the worst comes to the worst and you can't play it back there is a batch file conversion/resampling utility in Cool Edit (File->Batch File Convert) that'll quickly convert your collection of samples into the required output format

How much ram, maybe you're reaching the limits of what's possible on your machine ?

I don't remember if there's a disk streaming machine that's going to read those, but you could also try a VST.
SFZ is free and iirc has a disk-streaming mode.
