apparently does this:

cool! this reminded me of the keyboard shortcut that changes the parameter rows to slider-like things. does anyone remember what to press to make that happen?

download/file.php?id=179&mode=view

my answer was there before reading your question  Ctrl and G is the hotkey

I also noticed that right Alt and I removes all pattern data...edit: And can make buzz crash :( ..and other unusual things.

A lot of hotkeys don't work in the newest (ctrl + q) pattern editor (even though they are in the rightclick menu).
maybe it's a theme related thingy ???

thanks for the reminder! i knew someone had mentioned it here, but searching this forum can lead to brain melt at times. i'm running build 1480, for some reason the updater doesn't run at startup anymore so i haven't checked the new builds lately.

Perhaps that's because the latest build still is 1480

I've messed with the new pattern editor a few times and I really love it compared to the old one. The ability to set custom root key and scales is just so handy. I would use it exclusively IF it had the basic functionality of the old editor. But the fact remains, it is largely unusable in its current state.

Its not just that the keyboard shortcuts for things like copy/paste aren't there, even if you use the right-click menu to access them they do not work. I assume the right-click menu is mostly a placeholder still. Without the ability to copy/paste or even use the drag selection and delete parts or interpolate, it is a real chore to do everything manually. For this reason, I'm stuck using the old tried and true editor.

I really do look forward to the day when the new pattern editor is finished though. It really is a nice step up from the old editor with the added features.

P.S.
Has anyone figured out exactly where the PEkeys.xml file is supposed to go? I've tryed %current user%/documents/buzz and several other iterations but it never seems to overide the default unless I just overwrite the copy in the buzz folder itself (like you're not supposed to).

It doesn't work because of a bug.

Woah, I never knew about this! Are there any other weird tricks hiding in the obscure bowels of buzz? These two keyboard shortcuts aren't listed in the documentation. %D
