Someone suggested a 'samples-only' contest. It's a good idea after the bmw album
samples only and buzz fx.

As I suggested here with a trick :

we can also make 'auto-sampled-loop' contest but it would be less easy so I think the samples only would be easier for the next contest.

Anyone else have another idea(s) for a new contest ?

hmmmm, and what about using wav loops exported from the albums of the 500 kb bmw contest
would be funny

Mantatronic gives a good idea for a contest : one contest for one coder.
By example a FSM contest, you can use only FSM gens (Infector, Arpman...) and Fx (Phatman, Panzer Delay...).
Or a Jeskola one

It sounds good to me. I've already made a song just using Jeskola machines for a contest on Buzzchurch + another one where you could choose the developer and I used Arguru's machines.

So now we just need to find out what developer to choose. Btw anyone is fine by me.

More seriously, anyone can choose any developer (maybe two in case of a developer making only effects or only gens).
Let's see what other people say, there is no hurry.

the jeskola only song contest was done on buzzchurch, although the link and content are now lost forever (? or are they).

I'd be interested to see a machine/developer specific contest using only those machines from developers who have made more than one generator, ie bigyo, Hal Dreamer, BTD. this would definitely push me to create some new things that i otherwise would lazily use vsts or samples for.

but this concept is totally different from the samples only idea. if we were to do a samples only contest, perhaps one drumloop and one or two synth samples or single cycle waves, randomly determined at the outset?

do me - just the one machine to my name - mp3loader - old and probably crashes
