Hi - found I could use loopmidi ports from standalone midi generating programs into buzz, but recording seems to be tripping me up.
When I insert Mausynth to hear the incoming midi, then go to the pattern view to record, the starting pattern is only 16 rows [not enough - how can I have default be larger?] so I add a new pattern with 256 rows called pattern '01 and press record and the record seems to only hit the original pattern '00.
Ok, so I hit return and end up at the sequence view and change the '00 pattern to my '01 / 256 row pattern and then return to pattern view and hit record, pattern '01 only records for 16 rows. That was not what I was expecting, I wanted the incoming midi to fill up my 256 row pattern.
Any hints to a better workflow with recording incoming midi to patterns ? Regards, AT

Re: recording midi input to patterns questions
did you set the loop in the sequencer to be 256 and not 16 ?
Re: recording midi input to patterns questions
Also, Ctrl+backspace in pattern view gets you to properties, change length.

Re: recording midi input to patterns questions
Ctrl+backspace got me a longer pattern, but it only records the first 16 rows
1. how do I control the recording length of a pattern ?
2. how to I arm a new pattern for recording ?

Did you also set a new song end position in the sequence view (ctrl+e)?
