matilde and unwieldy tracker volume ramping..

Something that has always bothered me about matilde and unwieldy tracker is the volume/amplitude ramp setting. I like to use note offs to shorten certain drum hits in a pattern, but it often causes clicking sounds. (mostly happens on bass drums) I can of course turn on the volume ramping to remove the clicking, but this totally kills the attack of my drums even at very low ramping times. I really wish there were separate volume ramp settings for the attack and release, so I could enable it only for the release, and use note offs without losing the sharp attack on my drum hits. Does anyone know of a solution to this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated..

I'm guessing the click occurs in the next effect? If so, try cheapo fixer, -206db, infinitely. You might have to adjust the noise level, since some (typically VST) plugins have a floor of around -150db or something like that.

this has nothing to do with what he describes. the click comes from ramping the volume too fast (or not at all, as in: drop to 0.0 instantly which will pretty much always cause clicks in low-mid range sounds)
the fix is exactly what he describes: make matilde have two DIFFERENT settings for attack and release volume ramp. 90% of the time you want NO volume ramp on attack (note-on), but quite a bit of it on release (note-off), because you can then cut the sample with note-offs.

Yea, this is exactly the solution...I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned before. If anyone plans on updating matilde or unwieldy tracker please consider doing this.

Sorry for hijacking, but this has been on my mind aswell. I'm glad I wasn't alone.
It would be awesome to have separate attack ramp and release ramp options (and whatever you set them to, would be default every time you load that machine).

I'm also glad I am not the only one, in my opinion it's a huge flaw. It's a shame because besides this one problem matilde and especially unwieldy tracker are the best drum samplers ever created. I'd be willing to donate some cash towards somebody fixing it.

I've just noticed sample grid has this problem too, maybe it's just a design flaw in buzz itself?

no

Ok, well the clicking still seems to happen in sample grid even when using its volume envelopes, which made me think that it was possibly just a bug in Buzz.
