song structure / mapping bmp on waveform

Anyone know a way to e.g. map a bpm/measurement grid on top of a wavform of an imported mp3 somehow?
I've tried Audacity but even though it has a beatfinder, it doesn't have any measurements or counter on it so it's kinda of pointless.

The idea is to import some of my fav techno/dnb tunes and get a better sense of how the tunes are structured without having to do tedious beat-counting throughout the track.

tap-tempo? http://www.all8.com/tools/bpm.htm

It's hard to count bars? Drag into Reaper (free).

It's not hard to count bars, just boring. :)

Reaper looks good indeed for that. Might be just what I was looking for.
That tap-beat thing is handy too.
Thx!
