Wave playback problem? Help please!

Hi, I,m having a problem with some .wav files in buzz, and hope someone here can help.
They play fine in the wavetable but when used in machines there is a loud whitenoise kind of sound over the sample.
This only happens with some wavs. I think mostly DL'd from rhythm-lab. So anybody know whats up and how to fix?
I have done some searching but no luck.

What machine(s) are you using the wavs with?

I mostly use Climox Breaker, but I tried Jeskola Tracker and WhiteNoise's Probability Drummer and get the same noise, although they seem to play fine with Matilde Tracker 3. and I have the latest Buzz build.

Maybe it's because you use 24 bits wav files ?

Yeah, I thought about bitrate. But they play in the wavetable so I thought they were ok.
What kind of wav files are supported by Buzz? Also do different machines support different wav types?
I could only find info on the wav output from Buzz.
I'm going DL a prog and try converting some.

If you use an older version of matilde it wont read 24bits wav file if I remember well.
I think it's really a matter of bitrate (have you tried a 32 bits wav file in these machines?).
The machines you are using are a bit old, only Matilde 3 is a modern one.

Yes, I think you are right, I converted some to 16bit and they work!
So, 24 and 32bit don't play right in those machines.
I guess I never really paid attention to bits... Guess I need too dl some new machines.
Anyway, Thanks!
