Today when loading some older bmx I received this error.
"The application 'buzz' failed to return from the 'BufferSwitch' function within the alloted time.
This is a serious bug in the application and you should notify the application's manufacturer of this problem so it can be corrected immediately.
You may wish to disable hyper-threading (if on) to see if this solves the problem with this application"
I'm using pvst. My interface is a lynx e22. I was loading different bmx quickly and sometimes pushing play before the bmx had loaded.
"Serious Bug" says Lynx. PVST?
Re: "Serious Bug" says Lynx. PVST?
Could be a specific machine rather than Buzz itself - see if you can work out what machines those old BMXs have in common to see if you can narrow it down.
Re: "Serious Bug" says Lynx. PVST?
buzz was probably just busy loading stuff and not responding to the audio thread buffer requests.
you could try the buffer setting (2+1 async) in polac asio, maybe it helps, not sure if that puts the buffer requests on a separate thread that won't block.
or just not hit play while stuff is loading

Wait, Lynx has working ASIO support now? Woohoo. Maybe I should get my old LynxONE card out again.
Edit: No wait, doesn't support 64-bit. It's back on the shelve where I left it 17 years ago.
