Hi everyone
A trivial question, huh ?
I thought so too. It's a tracker after all.
Yet, after 2 days I still don't know how to do it.
Of course, new generators allow it but what about the older ones I still want to use ?
Not being able to noodle on PC keyboard before actually creating pattern completely kills creativity for me.
And yes, I am a complete novice.
So, is it possible at all ?

You can use polac vst to play/record with the pc keyboard. You have to open the vst editor for this.

Yes, you can also load buzz machines into polac vst.

You can keyboard-jam in Pattern view, too, as long as "Play notes" is checked. Only problem there is that you have to use the "1" key to manually trigger note-off. Still, it can be useful for quickly sketching out melodies or mindless jam sessions
