Here's a fun new idea:

https://www.anthropic.com/news/model-context-protocol

C# API might be later here https://github.com/tghamm/Anthropic.SDK

Idea is that you could talk to buzz songs.

Maybe I have to do it myself.

Hi,
Oh woaw :)
Is the idea to introduce the use of AI to help musician ?
Or to help coders ?
Or both 8-)
Sorry, I'm an eternal noob... But talking to Buzz song seems just amazing, nearly magic :D

Anyway it's cool to see that Buzz keep on evolving

Thanks Monsieur Oskari!!!

Ehm, sorry, but for which version of Jeskola Buzz should this machine be and could it be used whithout being online with the "music production environment"?
Personally I would prefer a working 64bit Buzz and a working "ReBuzz" first, perhaps you could please, please throw your tremendous knowledge into this project(s) first, so that it doesn't take around 5 seconds until a single vst/i is loaded in ReBuzz, or much more plugins work in NewBuzz 64, or the loading of all Buzzmachines can be finished in ReBuzz, which means the "final list" could be written to HD?
This would be very, very kind of you ...
Anyway every new machine is welcome somehow, best wishes to you and Jeskola Buzz DAW ... perhaps you can contact some more of the "old" developers and machine coders?

The idea is just that you bridge BuzzGUI (or the new buzz stuff) with any chatbot you might have. Then you can do magic.

examples

Code: Select all

connect machines
rearrange patterns
make music good again (lol in a modern way)
why did paniq
undo this note

to go even more crazing, if you combine this with giving the audio output stream to the ai too it could get quite interesting

this is all quite easy, just a bunch of glueings (much in the same way the internet is a series of tubes but i'm not french)

The easiest (and funnest) thing to do would be to just automatically generate the stuff from the BuzzGUI code (using reflection and stuff). Afterwards you can annotate so the AI knows what he is doing.

I've got no idea what it is you're doing but it's good to see you messing with Buzz stuff.

there's also a new buzz ad that sounds a lot like an old orange demo for some reason https://jeskola.net/aivid/thister.mp4

Actually it's here now: https://github.com/modelcontextprotocol/csharp-sdk

They are a bit slow, but once they get this implemented (https://spec.modelcontextprotocol.io/sp ... mable-http), it should be very easy to write a buzz MCP server.

Looks very interesting but I'm glad you understand it, because I surely don't.

It sounds very fancy but it's just like (in C#):

[NumberAdder] int AddNumbers(int a, int b) => a + b;

...after all the boilerplate. any chatbot can then add numbers.

Again, i should probably do this myself to demonstrate, but imagine just making a simple wrapper around http://svn.jeskola.net/buzzgui/BuzzGUI. ... s/IBuzz.cs

then they can control your views (not machines yet).

MCP has been gaining attention lately, but so has the Buzz ad industry: https://jeskola.net/aimov/vhs3.mp4

Hi Oskari,

I am not sure what your message means, but I watched some of your videos. Thanks. Fascinating and creepy at the same time. You can see the typical AI failures in generated videos. Good to know ;)

Thanks, the creepy part was by Sam or so. It's all AI-generated. You can see other videos here: https://jeskola.net/aimov/

All is generated by a one-line prompt, in this case: "80s VHS home movie. features a casio home keyboard and a VHS recorder. visual style of a 80s VHS home movie. casio home keyboard soundtrack."

one line prompt is crazy. That skeleton in the kubrick video is incredible !
In general you can see how nightmares in the brain are generated, recombination & condensed assoicated memory fragments.
