I hope that you feel the real richness which is having created something that has brought incalculable joy to many people. Buzz contnues to be the ultimate software for making pure electronic music on the pc.

Dear all,

Buzz kept me from doing very stupid things. Did I miss something or why does it seem as if everything seems a bit strange here?
Oskari is -and there is no doubt- some kind of a genious. Sometimes there were problems with Buzz and sometimes a decision seemed to be not the best choice if we look at it from todays point of view (imo).
(Making it open-source, for example, but that's my personal point of view.) Very talented people left the "scene".

When I started with Buzz-Tracker (around 2004), it was already mentioned as "outdated" by german c't magazine. It took me a few weeks or month to get the first song running ... so I feel very sad, that it seems as if there had been a lot of communication-problems in the past and present. Is there really no chance for a cooperation anymore?

PEACE! May the force be with us all ... whatever religion or non religion you believe in PEACE.

(btw. I would donate some money by "bank transfer".)

I never transferred money via the internet, so I would need your bank account, or is there a chance to transfer to bitcoin via bank transfer? and for an " outdated" prog in 2004 it is still pretty alive today, please answer my question Oskari, so that I can transfer money ...

Here are some of the easiest ways to convert your money to Bitcoin and send it to the donation address:

Option 1 - Paybis (easiest for bank transfers):
  • Go to https://paybis.com
  • Select "Buy Bitcoin"
  • Choose "Bank Transfer" as payment method
  • Enter amount you want to spend
  • Follow their verification process (usually just ID)
  • They'll send Bitcoin directly to any address you specify
  • Use this donation address: 1BuzZ4uVxKUS4NpK4wGRGNVrfgzEEpwtY9
Option 2 - Coinbase:
  • Sign up at https://coinbase.com
  • Link your bank account
  • Buy Bitcoin, then withdraw to donation address above
Option 3 - Kraken:
  • https://kraken.com - good for EU bank transfers
  • Similar process: deposit euros, buy Bitcoin, withdraw
All of these are legitimate exchanges. Paybis is probably simplest for one-time donations since you can send directly to the donation address without creating a wallet first.

Oskari has written

I totally agree with you, perhaps it would be much easier for you to get richer, if you would just give a special bank-account right here for donations, like you did before aeons-of-time for registering old Buzz ...?!

Meanwhile, I've become an old idiot and I'm very conservative in such "money things".

A "bank transfer" to me, still means the bank has the risk on it's side and I have not posted my Bank-Account via the internet. I really like - for example - the reaper-daw-team, 'cause they offer exactly the payment method I prefer and I really enjoyed to take over their part of the transfer-costs too. Most important: "No risk for me ... "

I still wish you all the best and perhaps consider to make another way of donations possible, I hope so ... I started thinking about paypal with a special account on my side, but everytime I'm close to do it the whole thing is "hacked" somehow ...

GeorgeGPT :) Seriously, ChatGPT isn't great at handling this kind of stuff. I think Google Gemini or any other competing model is much better. Anyway, please send all your money to Oskari.
