MidiPeer

Hi! I’m using Jeskola Buzz 32-bit, build 1503, with two instances of FSM Infector receiving separate MIDI tracks through MidiPeer, a peer controller we’re developing.
One Infector needs to receive on MIDI channel 1, and the other on channel 2. Changing presets appears to reset the receiving channel. My gear_defaults.xml contains an Infector rule setting “MIDI Channel (0=off)” to 1 with OverridePreset="True".
Is there a way to load a preset’s sound parameters while preserving each instance’s current attributes, particularly its MIDI channel?
Ideally, I’d like to browse presets freely while keeping the two instances on their respective channels. Is there a built-in option for this, or another recommended approach?
We now have a working workaround: MidiPeer remaps each track to a chosen output channel, so both Infector instances can receive on channel 1 while remaining separate destinations. Preset browsing works with this setup.
I’m still interested in whether Buzz provides a native way to preserve each instance’s MIDI channel when loading presets.
Thanks!
