MIDI triggering question: ON\OFF with trigger pedal

Basically I need binary switching of a certain VST effect ON\OFF by midi trigger pedal.
Can I do this via Pvst? If not, could anyone please advice a machine that will let me do that? What comes to mind is PeerState, but how to use the OFF state of the pedal to trigger another state?

You could hook up your effect with a crossfader, then use your binary input (min/max) to fade between the two channels,
which in this case could be the fx you want to mute and the machine which connects to the fx, just put them on one channel
each and connect, and switch/fade between them.
Other than that, you could also assign a peer machine to do take care of the the wet/dry signal of the fx in question.

btw. check x-fade crossfader: http://www.kvraudio.com/product/fade_x_by_sonic_assault

real fun when you use buzz´s multi io features.

On a MIDI note on I need a machine to fade one way, on note-off - fade back.

I'm guessing Peer ADSR can do the job, but I don't see where to assign a particular MIDI note to trigger. Can anyone hint please how it's done?

I think a peer machine i made can do that, it has "only up" and "only down" modes that you could put on the same or different midi cc's. Still beta atm...

Cool! Is that an effect or instrument?

I see mt Eno needs midi cc, but my trigger pedals send a midi note. How can I use, for instance, C-2 or any other note to trigger?

Ahh... I dont know. I can't think of any tools that convert midi notes into cc's or peering in buzz. I'm working on something that will do what you want in the long run, but thats obviouslt not much help today..

have a look at Piz (vst) MIDI plugin collection ... there is one plugin that converts note number and velocity to CC messages.

ok, meanwhile I managed to create a workaround with triggered PeerADSR.

Thanks for suggestions, folks, now I've learned a couple of new tricks!

If this is just for volume, ch. amp has a mute by midi note

Also, LdC (i think it was ldc) made a Peer Mute machine that was posted @ buzzchurch,.. but I can't seem to dig it up
