How do I send midi from one buzz synth to other synths and peer machines?

I don't think you can do that. What are you trying to achieve?

I was trying to send the same notes to 3 different synths...guess I'll have to use the split device? Is there any way to do it without having to copy all 30 of my patterns from Qsamo and paste them into the split device though?

Maybe someday native machines will offer PVSTi-style MIDI-send, but for now you're probably stuck copying all 30 patterns (unless you want to try your luck with some sort of audio-to-MIDI converter).

this is what peer machines are for. just assign multiple generators to it.

True enough "before the fact", but OP seems to have an "after the fact" quandry -- 30 Qsamo patterns already made, and now he's hoping he can layer in other generators without copying patterns over to a peer machine.

so he made 30 copies, but one additional copy to a peer ctrl is too much ;) ?

LOL. Pretty sure he was talking about having made 30 different patterns (each of which would need to be copied). But anyway, ima shut up about this now, at least until OP chimes back in.

yea this is what I meant...copying the 30 patterns will work but is a bit tedious right? I'll just have to start using Split for all Buzz synths.

Woof?
Can IXSplit to this?
The only machine I knew about to export notes was PeerChord.
I really need to understand the ix-machines. Next on my list.

If you are using VSTi just clone the machine and replace the VST or change the patch.

You can also load Buzz machines in Polac VSTi :o , allowing for this type of thing as well.

You can also click "columns" and add note tracks from other synths to your pattern, which depending on how complex it is, might be easier than copy and pasting.

Also, the new Pattern XP mod has pattern import/export I believe although I have not used it.

Hope that helps in some small way. :geek:

Thanks!
It probably did. This is next on my studylist. Casefile IXix.

Pattern XP mod can save and load patterns iirc, although I haven't experimented with that feature.

To clarify, IX Split can only send notes to the target machines, not MIDI. You can play it with MIDI but pitch bend etc. won't work. Just notes and velocities.

This is perfectly fine for my needs! And I really need to investigate ixmachines further!

Sweet as! Just what I needed. Easy as pie.

Apparently yes. Maybe I've failed due to using built in editor in old songs.

Finally, sorry for hi-jacking the thread. Wasn't supposed to happen but I'm happy for it. :-)
