Re: Bugfix: Envelope gets destroyed when replacing a sample

Oh wow, you know how to make alterations to the wavetable view? I'm not sure if I have any samples with envelope, except maybe multisample .xi files that won't load anyway, to test this with, but you wouldn't happen to know how to make this button do anything, would you? https://cdn.imgpaste.net/202...

Buzz and keyboards without numeric keypads; +/- don't work.

I'm currently, for desk space reasons (though someone with a small laptop might be in the same situation), using a keyboard without a numeric keypad (I can't seem to find a small enough Swedish keyboard that has one, that doesn't run on batteries; you'd think it'd be possible to just make a USB vers...

Re: Portability

I moved things around a bit. Here's a picture of the current makeshift setup:

ETA: Obviously, I have to put the insert key back when using Buzz, but it's really annoying while typing.

Re: Portability

just a NUC and a mess sounds like a pic worth seeing XD Well, you wouldn't be able to see it all in one pic. Technically, it's multiple messes and a lot of it is standing under other things. Also, there's the camera thing. On top of the base of the gutted laptop I'm using as a monitor, there's a pl...

Re: Portability

sounds wild. pics? :) There'll be pics when there's anything worth taking pics of. As it is at the moment, there isn't much to look at, just a NUC and a mess. I need to get a hold of my old Lego to get further with this. I figure the next step should be some kind of makeshift case for the 7" screen...

Re: Portability

Bit of an update: I bought an Intel NUC i7 (NUC5i7RYH). It's very tiny. I put 16GB of RAM in it, a solid state drive and a hard drive. It runs very well, and both Buzz and Maschine work quite nicely on it (although the lack of dedicated line input sucks, so I'm currently using a Babyface external US...

Oh, problem solved. This file was missing from the Buzz folder, in case anyone else has this problem. http://www.dlldump.com/dllfiles/M/MSVCR71.dll

Matilde Tracker 3 fails to load. [SOLVED]

I got a new computer. The new Intel NUC i7 model, on which I installed Windows 7, which is what I have on my i5 laptop as well. Obviously, I want to run Buzz on it. I copy all of my machines from my laptop, and have been installing VST's one by one. I just decided to try to open some old BMX files t...

Re: Leapmotion with Buzz?

I have one since preorder. I've tried to use it. Can't get it to work right. Can't get the pointer to go where I want, and I can't click no matter how much I try. Either I'm doing something wrong or I'm using the wrong app or it just sucks. For this reason, it's been collecting dust for most of the ...

NUC might be worth looking into as a possible alternative... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YU_ll5mNo_g
ETA: Apparently there are i7 versions coming out this year, called NUC5i7RYH. Something to look out for, perhaps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCzt3RIJD5E

Re: Portability

Well, this is bad news... I emailed Giada, to ask what I could expect to pay for a NI-HM76T and where, and all they said was this: "I am sorry we are not able to support since we don’t have this model in your country." So I asked if there's any other country I can order it from, expecting a no. We s...

Re: What's your favourite Buzzmachine secret gem?

Here's my simple trick for making drums sound as good as possible. I do this basically every time, with some slight variations and additions: I start with a BRDSys SampleGrid 2 BETA 061110 - S4 (sometimes S8 if I'm assembling a bigger kit, obviously). I load my samples into the wavetable, and if I c...

Re: Optical spdif multi channel out in buzz?

Wait, Buzz can use multiple outputs? I can't even get it to use multiple inputs. Is that possible too? Is it possible to rout audio out of a buzz machine, into external hardware effects/samplers, and then back into Buzz?

Re: Portability

I usually think I'm good at googling, but words like "shopping", "buy" and "price" don't seem to get me anywhere. Not for the Giada card nor for the Portwell card. Here's what I do find: Portwell's apparently only Intel Core-compatible nano-ITX board I can find anything about anywhere. http://www.po...

Re: Saturn 1.4 beta

It's got that signature Joachim messiness to it. Weird stuff happening in the higher register, reverb sometimes cutting off a bit sharply at the end (here especially noticeable when run through a Joachims Overdrive set to Active, 0, 64, 64, 74)... I don't know how deliberate that is, but there's a k...

Re: Buzz and NI Maschine

I have Buzz and Maschine (MkI controller, but latest software). I still mainly use Buzz. There are some things I like better about Maschine, though. Slicing with knobs is nicer than working with offset numbers. Playing slices on the controller is nice. Sampling straight into the program is nice. But...

Is one of the Portwell boards still a better option than this? If so, which one (and where is it sold)?

Re: Portability

The problem with Portwell, however, is only a couple of their boards seem to even be sold anywhere currently, and I'm not sure it's the right ones. Which one would you say is the most likely to do what it needs to, and where is it sold?

It doesn't have a keyboard, but someone built a handheld gaming PC. It's not exactly ultra-light, though.

Re: Portability

I casually mentioned using a GameCube chassis for a bagtop earlier. Someone did put a Nano-ITX computer in a GC case: http://forums.kustompcs.co.uk/showthread.php?t=51004 Don't know if it's battery driven, though. And someone did a non-nano, definitely not battery driven thing with an N64: http://ww...
