I've always thought it was possible, based on the empty slots, but don't know how it's accomplished.
thx.
Is it possible to add custom wave shapes to qsamo?

It reads them from the wavetable.

Know of a good place to get synth appropriate waves? If i put a drum sample in there will it do some crazy granular synthesis stuff!?? I haven't messed around with the wave table since I was trying to get sample grid to work with my mpd, but I'll work on this tomorrow. I must have a square wave.

if you're feeling experimental, google adventure kid waveforms. this guy offers a dizzying array of single cycle waveforms for free.
but for basic stuff like a square wave, it's not so great. i've not been able to find a good source for single cycle waveforms like square, sine, tri, saw. surprisingly these most basic waveforms are difficult to find.

Wow, thanks zhazhareen, what a great resource. Can't wait to try these out. I'm guessing the samples formatted for corona are the right choice. I guess he's planning on making a new set of simple clean waves as well? Can't wait to hear that too. Has it been a long time coming? I like simple clean sounds. I always pay close attention to how any synth I use handles its simple sine wave. Wow I can't believe my qsamo is going to get all these new toys.

There's a selection of clean waves at the end of this collection. These waves are all at a different pitch than the native qsamo ones though. I downloaded the ones that are formatted for corona, I didn't get a chance to try the others. I can probably fix it by changing my transposition in my keyboard, assuming they are off by semitones as opposed to microtones, but it will make writing with them like writing for a transposing instrument. %D

holy shit - i had no idea he made a corona format sample pack! good catch
I've been using them on a korg esx, but will give them a shot with qsamo now as well. I've not checked out his site in a while, it indeed looks like he's got some new and interesting stuff since i last checked.
as for the tuning, this is what has always frustrated me about it, it's very difficult to tune the waveforms on a korg esx. i've not tried in qsamo though, and haven't asked AK for his advice on it, there must be some simple maths we can do to get the right center pitch on these.
