It's like mono, but one higher.

Or, to make it more audible:
Hold your hand against one ear and leave the other ear opened = mono
Now, take the one hand from your ear and listen with both ears = stereo

Stereo is bad gimmick. MY GUF has no stereo so I stay far away from stereo. Stereo? More like Satanereo.

The problem is that my mix sounds like this cat in the boat, not as a luxury yacht.

Serious stereo related Q Is there any way to make my connections between machines mono so that they are not processed in stereo? Maybe I could get a lot of cpu back by doing this. I can pan, but the gain goes up. I guess this is what equal power panning is for or something. Help I want more cpu.

You could use Automaton's Mono machine possibly - http://www.buzzmachines.com/machineinfo.php?id=354
Really don't think the CPU gain (if any!) would be worth it though....

Serious question: how old is your computer? I haven't had any issues with native Buzz machines (CPU-wise) since about 2003 when I upgraded to 2.4GHz P4.

16g 1600mhz dual channel ddr3 cas latency 8
I7 4770k clocked at 3.8ghz
850evo ssd for my OS
2 1tb drives in raid 1 (mirroring) for my data
lynx e22 analog interface

Hehe, sorry can't resist. I use as much native buzz stuff as I can, for instance I only use buzz native synths, but some buzz machines can eat cpu. Jacinth and uranus come to mind. I use many vst as well though, and I'm running at 96khz.

I miiiiight go skylake next year, but I'll probably wait. I'd rather spend my money on a hardware bus compressor or some mics.

At the symphony the other night I started fantasizing about building some kind of xeon x99 dual socket monstrosity.

My overclock is very modest right now, but I am going to get aggressive and de-lid my haswell in the next 6 months or so after moving to a different closed loop cooler to bring my cpu (hopefully) in line with 4790k devils canyon stuff.

I wish 64 bit buzz was viable! Oskari please! Make a kickstarter, we'll give you money!

You do know 64-bit software is only for allowing the addressing of >4gb RAM in applications and doesn't affect speed of operation in any way?! :D

p.s. Hasn't there been 64-bit Buzz for years now? http://jeskola.net/buzz/beta/files/setup_x64/

If I recall, the consensus is that 64 bit buzz is buggy and isn't worth it.

Aren't there other applications for the 64 bit bus? I'll admit I'm not knowledgeable about this, but so many plugins are offered in 32 and 64 bit versions. Is it really only the ram? Isn't it also a bandwidth thing?

Also, if you build it they will come so maybe there will be some other applications down the line.
