I know there is wave players but its sorta not set up for this sort of thing .. usually i use ableton for dj sets but really hate how it makes asd files outta any thing i want to use in my dj set ...

Re: Buzz in DJ set ?
I have in the distant past used two instances of buzz and crudley mixed them together and also used buzz alongside dj software to blend into the mix, but I was mostly doing idm with widley varied bpms so beatmatching wasn't such an issue. When i dj'd minimal I only used mp3's of tracks made in buzz
Re: Buzz in DJ set ?
I run a no software set. I run the WAV file from the player and play along to it. I'm thinking about learning to DJ at least well enough to pre mix a continuous set, but the equipment is too expensive right now. (I need to buy a laptop first.)

Honestly download:
Virtual DJ Pro Free or Mixxx
They are much much better for DJing....
Buzz is great for creating, arranging sequencing and even performing your tracks lve...but it isn't really designed for DJing....

I'm using mixxx right now for dj sets. it's way less of a pain than the virtualdj demo, which has no midi controller support and too many limitations to make it worthwhile. it's really not worth it unless you cough up the $300 plus for the pro edition which will let you do all the things most people want to do.
mixxx is pretty sweet, it looks great and works great, and you can make pretty much any midi controller (even a keyboard) into a dj controller, or just dispense with that and use keyboard shortcuts. The only drawbacks are that the beatmatching engine in the last stable release (1.10.0) sucks and there is only one effect (flanger). A full effects suite is in the works, and the beatmatching engine in the latest beta (1.11.0) is way better, so far it is stable on my win7 x64 pc with a few latency issues at times. Setting it up can be a bit esoteric at times but if you use buzz you should be used to that.
the documentation and wiki are pretty sweet and the support is there if you need help for the most part. give it a shot!
