Sgorpi Multitrack issues

Post by buzzard »

My issue in a nutshell, can't get it to work. specifically, can't get any chain to connect to it... reading the instructions...

"How to use:
place the effect at the end of an effect chain and connect the chain to the effect, and effect to master (or something). Next, go view the mixer window to see if the sound doesn't clip and or enable/disable some channels to be written.
Add a sequence track for (just) one of the plugin instances. In the pattern editor add 1 pattern for an instance of the plugin to start recording, and 1 to stop recording (the last column named 'output', 1=start,0=stop). (only one instance needs these patterns, the other instances will follow recording).
Press play, and the waves will be written.

Got the other things right, but nothing connects to the Sgorpi module. No matter how many times I try to connect anything to Sgorpi's input, it doesn't take any input.
Am I reading this wrong? Obviously other people use it and love it. I have pretty much the latest build of Buzz.
It says to connect a chain to the effect. I assume it means the Sgorpi multitrack effect.. What the heck am I missing?
 :x :|

anyone can help me, would appreciate it lots!
Thanks peeps

Thanks for replying so soon! :D

No, it is in the gear/effects folder as sgorpi_mtw.dll.
I take it you must use Sgorpi effectively with no problems?

I'm very perplexed by what this issue might be. If it is an effect, then it should behave like one, but I can't connect anything to it.

Wait a minute.. HA HA! Thanks!

I looked in the Generator folder, and there was a duplicate Sgorpi in there, which must have been messing things up. The module itself said "effect" when it was active in Buzz, but it must have been screwed up by also being in the Generator folder, because now I can connect things to it after removing the instance from the Generator folder.

Does that normally do that? I would drag the sgorpi onto the Machine view window, and it was recognized as an effect, not a generator, but apparently it was confused and wouldn't treat it as an effect.
Hmmm

Good Lord I can't believe it was that simple. I thought I had looked for it in the Generator folder and not found it. Maybe I installed it twice, first on accident and second the right way. I guess that's what happened!

Thanks UNZ! Very much! I feel silly now.

I will see if I can actually record decently now that it connects as an effect.

And a special thanks to Oskari for his patience while I fiddled with the registration authentication! ;)
