I know, I know, it's an obsolete machine that's practically useless. But in order to remove it from an old project, it first has to work. And it did, right before I recently backed up my gear folder and did a factory restore of my system partition (because I was having problems unrelated to Buzz).
After doing the restore, I installed the latest Buzz build (as far as I know, the same version I had before) and put the gear folder backup back in place and started installing VST's.
First weird thing I notice in Buzz since the restore: The toolbars at the top are bigger. So are the numbers in the sequence view and stuff. Kind of weird graphics issues, but not really a major concern.
But then I open an old project, and I get this message:
LoadLibrary("C:\Program Files (x86)\Jeskola\Buzz\Gear\Effects\cheapo do-nothing.dll") failed. The specified module could not be found.
Is there a fix for this? Or is there anyone out there who can still open projects with do-nothing, who can give me a hand in removing said machine from the project?

Re: Cheapo Do-Nothing crashes Buzz
just remove the cheapo do nothing.dll from your gear folder, new buzz will show a missing machine, but it will be fine. (the missing machine acts just like a do nothing...)
Re: Cheapo Do-Nothing crashes Buzz
That error is a lack of a visual c++ runtime. Get Buzz FixKit ( http://www.buzzmachines.com/utils/Buzzfixkit021217.zip ) and under Setup place ticks by 'install MFC42.dll' , 'install msvcr70.dll' and 'install msvcr70.dll'
Ps. Do Nothing isn't too compatible with new Buzz due to the hacky nature of it, I'd shift to using MT Nada for future projects - http://www.buzzmachines.com/machineinfo.php?id=1031

As far as I understand the problem do-nothings fix doesn't exist in new-buzz, can we stop calling it that yet? post-1.2 builds.
- but if you used it as a mixer or something, I see.

Re: Cheapo Do-Nothing crashes Buzz
I used the do-nothing to separate and group signals and toggle mutes and stuff. It's how I used to do it years ago. Deleting the dll seems to have done the trick. Thanks, mantratronic! I might try mcbpete's solution if I run into the same problem with other machines.

not raggin' on anyone, but i never understood that.. why use a do nothing when you could use an amp or pan or both?

Re: Cheapo Do-Nothing crashes Buzz
I use mixio all the time instead of do nothings now. It's almost as fast as nada with the gui closed, has a visualizer, panning, and if i want to do any routings later it has multi I/O as well.
