Every Buzz keyboard shortcut, mouse shortcut and trick.

Post by onecircles »

In an older thread, the user "Mute" pointed out that all the keyboard shortcuts are contained in the log file that lists the new version features. I've always wanted to know all the tips and tricks so I read this and edited out everything but the commands. I've included anything having to do with input in any way. The list is currently organized chronologically, since that's how it was written. I'll organize it and edit the OP or repost at a later time. Feel free to share any of your tricks or shortcuts. Also feel free to tell me if any of these are overwritten by newer versions. Clumps of commands were released in the same version. Enjoy!

Thanks UNZ! I didn't know about that reference. Here's another from user Xenobioz.

In sequence editor, to insert patterns after the 68th it is necessary to:

"First select the pattern (at the right where you see all the patterns) then press apostrophe (') to add a it. The pattern will be inserted to the place you have selected in the sequencer view"

Here's one from magmavander via buzz wiki.

In pattern editor if you want to set the number of steps the cursor moves after entering a value:

"CTRL + 0-9 Set the number of rows the cursor steps down when you enter notes and other values. Default is 1."

i am hoping one appears one day that lets you move the pattern and seq editors into their own windows so i can use my 3 wildly-different-sized monitors to full effect! if it never happens, that's ok. few things in life have improved life as Buzz such as it is. :)

This is great! so many wasted years doing it the hard way, cloning the machine and adding in new pattern information. or renaming all the patterns
