Jeskola Hiiri alternative?

Post by etruscan »

Hello folks,

Resurrecting an old BMX for a live show. Hiiri is central in the sound that it makes. For various reasons I can't open the file in Old Buzz; it's absolutely fine in New Buzz apart from Hiiri not working. Does anyone have recommendations for a good alternative? Thought at least one person here might have been in a similar situation . . .

Cheers :)

If I remember correctly, Hiiri was a note-based waveguide effect - basically a delay with high feedback, where the delay length was controlled by notes entered into a pattern, yes? You may be able to get something similar by using Whitenoise Harmonic Delay.

i was going to say shaman chorus is also similar, but i just noticed it doesnt load in new buzz .. there is also Geoffroy Note Filter, which has 9 partials and is pattern controlled.

The Geoffroy's note filter is just an awesome tool.
