I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, which might be why m2buzz isn't working. Here's what I'm wondering: Is there a newer version around, or some workaround for this problem?
M2bvc.exe tells me BASS.dll is missing from my system, but It2xm.exe and Easyxmid.exe tell me I need a 32 or 64 bit version of the program, which makes me suspect having BASS.dll (whatever that is) wouldn't change the situation much. It's obviously an outdated utility in any case, but the idea of converting XM files to BMX strikes me as useful, as I've at times thrown together ideas in MilkyTracker on my OpenPandora pocket computer (which is currently in for repairs, but that's a whole other story), and would find it really rather nice to be able to pull these projects into Buzz to do more work on them.
If there's no work around, does anybody know when it last worked? Did it run on 32 bit Windows XP for example? And if so, where do I get BASS.dll and where do I put it?
On a sidenote, the wavetable seems to allow importing of .xi instruments, but I have no idea what machine to use in order for them to work properly (with the multisamples, loop points, envelopes and whatnot). Is there a trick to this? As I've collected a few pretty nice .xi instruments for use in MilkyTracker, it'd be quite nifty to be able to also utilize these instruments in Buzz. Does anybody know if this is possible?

Re: m2buzz (MOD/XM/MIDI-to-Buzz converter) not working.
Hi,
whenever I tried to convert mod/it/xm to bmx it didn't work in a way that
was better than writing the whole track over in buzz again.
It might work to get notes in the right place, but I don't
remember exactly what was wrong. Maybe I didn't know how to do it.
The last time I used m2buzz was on windows XP, I think.
I had some succes with converting midi to bmx though.
I tried also this one: WinMod2MTrk:
http://www.robotplanet.dk/files/buzz/Wi ... no-off.exe
(or http://www.rift.dk/download.php?view.22)
Maybe it works or saves some time rebuilding the track.
About .xi instruments:
They work only in old buzz, after you converted the .xi instrument
in a way that the samples for high notes become the samples for
the low notes and the other way around.
I mean: c-5 should be c-3, b-4 should be c#3 and a#4 should be d-3
etc. so in fasttracker you can't use them anymore then.
Right now I try loading a bmx (made with old buzz) in new buzz that contains such a
converted multisample, but new buzz (built 1464) crashes.
Sf2 files in the wavetable don't work very good too... but ofcourse we have the XS-1
Converting .xi to sf2 seems the only sollution.
Lipid IT Loader also doesn't seem to work, (and crashes old buzz).
not much of an answer, but just what I know...

This is BASS.dll, dunno if it will work even with that in place though?
I think you might wanna try this VST : http://www.nashnet.co.uk/english/revisit/features.htm
