two pxp questions

Post by szaszhareen »

i noticed today that there's a "midi edit" checkbox in pattern xp. what does this do?

also, i read on the forum here that you can use pxp to export patterns to a midi file. how is this done?

thanks! :)

When checked it will accept non-realtime note input from your keyboard. So just click the tick you want, and then hit a key on your keyboard to input it.

One of my absolute favorite features of the new Buzz.

If you want to record MIDI, you need to open columns and select the MIDI boxes under Pattern XP.

I'm not sure how to export MIDI... I think there was something on the drop down quick arrange view that was in the machine view, but I was never able to get it to work.

If you go to the Pianoroll view, you can import MIDI.

Thanks for all the tips!
it would be nice if MIDI KB input would work with chords so each note would be put to a different track.

BTW while trying this out I noticed if you press ctrl and then left click with your mouse somewhere on a pattern you can changes values by moving the mouse to the left or right. :geek:
